The impressive Casona Río Fortuna country estate has always been a landmark of the San Carlos area.

In the past, Casona Río Fortuna used to be a temporary accommodation for job-seekers coming to the area with their families. Until they found a job in a local sawing mill, cattle ranch, dairy farm or the woods, the owners accommodated them at the casona.

In remembrance of this hospitality tradition, we recently accommodated 8 guest rooms, mainly on the second floor. The simple yet clean accommodations are furnished in a rustic style and remember long-gone times when tired workers had a break under the same roof, enjoying the peace and tranquility of this very special place.
